Christopher Baker-Scott serves as the Executive Director & Founder of SUN Scholars Inc., dedicated to improving the college and career outcomes of young people who have experienced foster care and adoption from the child welfare system in Connecticut. The SUN Scholars team supports youth living in communities around the state through academic coaching, peer mentoring, and resource coordination. All SUN Scholars staff members are lived-experience leaders.
Chris holds a Master’s in Government Extension Studies from Harvard University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and Linguistics.
He is an alumnus of the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute’s 2019 Foster Youth Internship Program. He also holds a Governor’s Appointment on the Department of Children & Families State Advisory Council and has been recognized as one of Connecticut Magazine’s 2022 “40 under 40” leaders.
